We are holding three DART Community Conversations (Open House/Information Sessions) to spark dialogue and get your feedback and ideas for possible improvements to transit services and payment methods. Sessions are being held in advance of introducing service proposals at DART’s Public Hearing Workshops later in November.
For an accommodation such as an interpreter for the hearing impaired or a language translator, please call 1-800-652-DART (3278), option 2, one week in advance. ; Your input matters! Please join DART staff as conceptual plans are displayed and discussed. The following plans may or may not be part of the upcoming service change proposal: •Using data and new technology to reallocate unproductive trips/route segments to other services. o Increasing the number of SEPTA trains serving Delaware o Simplifying routing patterns o Implementing new services to employment centers •Adjusting the routing for express/commuter, local, and circulator buses in downtown Wilmington to better match origin/destinations with the type of service. o Routing changes with staggered schedules to increase the frequencies along various corridors. •Improving service efficiency and reducing duplication of routing. o Adjusting schedules to provide more consistent trip times and improved frequencies. o Adjusting routing at/around Christiana Mall. o Streamlining service between Christiana Mall and downtown Wilmington. •Simplifying and improving the way fares are paid. o Convenient and reliable payment options (monthly, weekly, 10-ride passes, mobile app). o Speed up boarding time. These DART Community Conversations are a way for you to offer other suggestions regarding DART services, as well. We want to hear from you! Sessions for Kent and Sussex Counties will be held after the completion of the Origin-Destination Study.
