DNREC will hold a work shop and informal listening session to inform and hear from Delawareans as the Department prepares its plan to reduce carbon pollution from power plants. DNREC will present an outline of its current thinking on Delawareâ€™s approach to meet the federal Clean Power Plan requirements, and soliciting comments and input on all aspects of the approach.
Clean Power Plan information: EPA issued final emissions guidelines for the control of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from existing power plants on August 3, 2015. You can learn more about the details at EPA's website (http://www2.epa.gov/cleanpowerplan), where they have posted the final rule, technical analyses, and other supporting information. How to comment to DNREC: You may attend and present your comments at the DNREC listening session, you may email written comments to firstname.lastname@example.org, or you may send comments by postal mail to the Division of Air Quality, 100 W. Water Street, Suite 6A, Dover DE 19904. Note that there is no formal DNREC proposal available for comment at this time.
