The EE/CA Report and finalization letter proposes a response action to clean up trichloroethylene (TCE) contaminated soil and groundwater that currently impact two shallow public supply wells used by the Town of Millsboro to produce public drinking water. The major components of the proposed remedy are in-situ chemical oxidation of the source area and direct groundwater circulation pump and treatment using granular activated carbon to treat extracted groundwater that will then be re-injected into the shallow aquifer.
