For The Abandonment & Vacation of Unimproved Ferrovia Court New Castle Co.
WHEREAS, The Delaware Department of Transportation, (DelDOT) has custody and control of unimproved Ferrovia Court, New Castle; and WHEREAS, the property owner, has petitioned DelDOT to consider the vacation and abandonment of an unimproved Ferrovia Court, measuring approximately 220 linear feet +/-, which has ceased to be of necessity to the highway system. WHEREAS, Title 17, Section 1311 of the Delaware Code grants DelDOT the authority to vacate and abandon public roads or parts thereof, ceasing to be of necessity to the general highway system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by DelDOT that a Public Hearing shall be held with regard to the proposed vacation and abandonment of unimproved Ferrovia Court. The hearing will be held at the DelDOT Administration Building, upstairs Conference Room, located at 250 Bear-Christiana Road in Bear, Delaware on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the basement conference room. Public comments concerning this matter will be received at this time.
