For The Abandonment & Vacation of an Unimproved Portion of Boyce Avenue
WHEREAS, The Delaware Department of Transportation, (DelDOT) has custody and control of an unimproved portion of Boyce Avenue, Lake Pines, Laurel; and WHEREAS, the adjoining property owners, have petitioned DelDOT to consider the vacation and abandonment of an unimproved portion of Boyce Avenue, measuring approximately 115 linear feet +/-, which has ceased to be of necessity to the highway WHEREAS, Title 17, Section 1311 of the Delaware Code grants DelDOT the authority to vacate and abandon public roads or parts thereof, ceasing to be of necessity to the general highway system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by DelDOT that a Public Hearing shall be held with regard to the proposed vacation and abandonment of an unimproved portion of Boyce Avenue. The hearing will be held at the Laurel Public Library, Mary Wootten Carpenter Community Room, 101 East 4th Street Laurel, DE 19956, on Friday, November 17, 2017 1pm. Public comments concerning this matter will be received at this time.
