Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) is a non-profit statewide planning organization governed by Delawareans with disabilities. The role of the SILC is to identify barriers to independent living and to collaborate with the Centers for Independent Living, Vocational Rehabilitation, & other related entities. The goal is to remove barriers and to increase the supports & services needed to create independent living opportunities. Meetings throughout the year are open to interested citizens.
For disability-related accommodation requests, please contact the SILC Chairperson, Moni Edgar, at 302-764-6216 or by email at SILCdelaware@gmail.com. Accommodation requests can be made at any time, although making a request at least five to seven business days in advance helps to ensure availability of the accommodation. Additional information and documents can be found on our website.
