Delawares Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control will host a public meeting July 16, 2018 to provide an opportunity for Delawareans to comment on the US Environmental Protection Agencys proposal to deny Delawares petitions under section 126 (b) of the Clean Air Act, which allows states to petition EPA to find that a source in an adjacent state emits or would emit any air pollutant at amounts that violate the good neighbor provision.
We anticipate limiting each speaker to five minutes but may adjust the time depending on the number of people who register to speak. Speakers are asked to register no later than July 12, 2018 by emailing Valerie Gray (Valerie.Gray@state.de.us) or calling 302.739.9402. More information from EPA on its proposed denial of Delawares 126(b) petitions can be found on EPA's website (https://www.epa.gov/ozone-pollution/proposed-action-clean-air-act-section-126-petitions-delaware-and-maryland ). Acting Director David Fees of DNRECs Division of Air Quality gave testimony on Delawares behalf at EPAs public hearing last week in Washington that can be found on the DNREC website (http://www.dnrec.delaware.gov/Air/Documents/06-22-Dave-Fees-testimony-at-EPA-public-hearing.pdf).
