WHEREAS, The Delaware Department of Transportation, (DelDOT) has custody and control of an improved portion of Rose Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware, New Castle County and is located adjacent to Silverside Road, east of its intersection with Concord Pike, also known as Rt. 202; and WHEREAS, the adjoining property owners, have petitioned DelDOT to consider the vacation and abandonment of an improved portion of Rose Ave, measuring approximately 50 linear feet +/- wide by 118 linear feet +/- in length
which has ceased to be of necessity to the highway system. WHEREAS, Title 17, Section 1311 of the Delaware Code grants DelDOT the authority to vacate and abandon public roads or parts thereof, ceasing to be of necessity to the general highway system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by DelDOT that a Public Hearing shall be held with regard to the proposed vacation and abandonment of an improved portion of Rose Avenue. The hearing will be held at the Brandywine Hundred Library in the Program Room-1st floor, located at 1300 Foulk Rd,Wilmington, DE, on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 5pm.
