WHEREAS, The Delaware Department of Transportation, (DelDOT) has custody and control of an unimproved portion of Terscon Lane, Newark, Delaware, New Castle County and is located adjacent to Kelbark Lane, south of its intersection with Telegraph Road, also known as Newark Stanton Road; and WHEREAS, the adjoining property owners, have petitioned DelDOT to consider the vacation and abandonment of an unimproved portion of Terscon Lane, measuring approximately 30 linear feet +/- wide by 160 linear
feet +/- wide by 160 linear feet +/- in length, which has ceased to be of necessity to the highway system. WHEREAS, Title 17, Section 1311 of the Delaware Code grants DelDOT the authority to vacate and abandon public roads or parts thereof, ceasing to be of necessity to the general highway system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by DelDOT that a Public Hearing shall be held with regard to the proposed vacation and abandonment of an unimproved portion of Terscon Lane. The hearing will be held at the Stanton Middle School, Multipurpose Room, located at 1800 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, Delaware, on Thursday, February 28, 2019 5pm.
