For The Abandonment & Vacation of an Unimproved Portion of Weldin Avenue Wilmington, Delaware WHEREAS, The Delaware Department of Transportation, (DelDOT) has custody and control of an unimproved portion of Weldin Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware, New Castle County; and
WHEREAS, the adjoining property owner, has petitioned DelDOT to consider the vacation and abandonment of an unimproved portion of Weldin Avenue, located adjacent to Beeson Avenue, south of its intersection with Philadelphia Pike, and, WHEREAS, Title 17, Section 1311 of the Delaware Code grants DelDOT the authority to vacate and abandon public roads or parts thereof, ceasing to be of necessity to the general highway system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by DelDOT that a Public Hearing shall be held with regard to the proposed vacation and abandonment of an unimproved portion of Weldin Avenue. The hearing will be held at the Brandywine Hundred Library, Program Room, located at 1300 Foulk Road, in Wilmington, on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, beginning promptly at 5pm.
